Your Destination For Mountain Views During Leaf Peeping Season

NinJo Group Aspen Trees

The air is getting crisp, and the leaves are starting to change.

Let’s travel to Colorado where fall foliage is just about to hit its peak!

Experts say thanks to a strong snowpack, wet end to summer, and an expected hot, dry fall, aspen trees are looking healthy and should soon be bursting with yellow and orange colors.

So, let’s fill up our gas tanks and get those cameras out while we immerse ourselves into the beauty of fall!

Looking for the best place to take in the view? Head to the higher elevations first. Some of the most reliable spots include Kebler Pass, the Dallas Divide, Rabbits Ears Pass and Eagle River Valley.

Traveling along US Highway 550, the Million Dollar Highway, also delivers breathtaking views.  While Denver doesn’t get as much attention as the mountains, folks can still take advantage of the vibrant colors along the Front Range.

We all know that fall season is short, so here are some spots you can visit that promise to highlight nature’s beauty:

1.      Rocky Mountain National Park

2.      Mesa Verde

3.      Great Sand Dunes National Park And Preserve

4.      Black Canyon Of The Gunnison

Want to avoid the crowds? It’s a good idea to make a day out of it during the week to enjoy the colors and peacefulness of the mountains.
