Summer Fun In Chicagoland: Weekly Events

It’s summertime in the city and that means fun, festivals, fireworks, beach days, museums and so much more!

But if you can’t make it to the city just yet, don’t worry, there are events happening weekly throughout summer!

Whether you live downtown or are looking to take a day trip to the city, there are so many ways you can enjoy the sizzling months ahead!

(Wednesdays 10AM-12PM)

Come check out the sights, smells, and textures that wildlife has to offer at Lincoln Park Zoo! This free event allows you to walk through the beautiful grounds, while teaching your littles about nature!

(Tuesdays 7AM-2PM)

Shop for fresh fruits, veggies, baked goods, flowers and more at the open-aired SOAR Farmers Market located on the Museum of Contemporary Art Plaza!

(Wednesdays 9PM, Saturdays 10PM)

Watch the Chicago skyline light up at this spectacular show. The stunning visuals are accompanied by a mix of music and soundtracks! Come immerse yourselves in this stunning display!

Join the Chicago Fire Community coaches and Sparky the mascot for fun, physical play activities! Your feet and brain will be busy!

Your family can watch two captivating free performances in collaboration with See Chicago Dance! The shows include a diverse array of dance companies, ensembles, and choreographers!

(Tuesdays 6PM-9PM)

Join the cornhole league and get in on the summer vibe at Shore Club Chicago! It’s a friendly competition and no skills are needed!

Field Museum in Chicago

(Every Wednesday)

Come see Sue!  Free tickets include general admission exhibitions and are available on site.  Make a day out of it! If you’re interested in exploring a ticketed exhibition or 3D movie, discounted passes are available on site as well!
